Synchronicity inks distribution deal with DRG

Modern Times Group (MTG)-owned distributor DRG has made its latest drama push by agreeing a sales deal with UK indie, Synchronicity Films.

As part of the two-year deal, DRG will acquire full distribution rights, outside of commissioning broadcaster arrangements, for all of Synchronicity’s TV drama productions.

Noel Hedges, DRG’s exec VP content and acquisitions, described Synchronicity as “an exciting and ambitious creative haven for writers and talent in the UK and US.”

“We are confident that the productions in development will really make a mark on the international stage and successfully help feed the current high demand for big, bold, original drama.”

Claire Mundell, Synchronicity’s Creative Director added: “We’re delighted to be working with DRG as we move to the next level and develop our productions for the international marketplace. We have an extensive slate in development and very ambitious plans for capitalising on our creativity and distinctiveness. Now feels like a great time to grow and we are excited to have DRG on board as our partner.”
