Deanne Cunningham

Head of Development

Prior to Synchronicity, Deanne spent over a decade in various scripted roles in the UK TV and Film industry. Her most prolific producing credits include ITV hit dramas ENDEAVOUR and COLD FEET. She has script edited several award-winning shows including HUMANS (Ch4/AMC), UTOPIA (Ch4) and THE TUNNEL (Sky Atlantic/Canal+) and has worked extensively in script development including an earlier stint as Development Producer at Synchronicity. She has also produced several independent films with backing from Screen Scotland and the BFI. Deanne is a former BBC Production Trainee.

MD / Creative Director

Claire is an award-winning creative executive and founder of Synchronicity. She developed and exec-produced the BAFTA and RTS winning BBC One / ABC series, THE CRY, a psychological thriller starring Jenna Coleman, adapted from Helen FitzGerald’s novel by Jacquelin Perske, which debuted to critical acclaim in the UK and internationally. With Synchronicity, Claire aimed to establish a scripted indie in Scotland with a reputation for critically acclaimed IP and now leads a slate that includes based on notable books such as Andrew O’Hagan’s MAYFLIES; Graeme Armstrong’s debut THE YOUNG TEAM; Hanif Kureishi’s THE BODY; and a limited series adaptation of The Sunday Times / The New York Times Bestseller THE TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ by Heather Morris. Alongside her scripted projects, Claire produces occasional feature films with credits such as Karen Gillan's directorial debut, THE PARTY'S JUST BEGINNING; BIFA nominated ONLY YOU, starring Laia Costa and Josh O'Connor; and Andrew Haigh’s WEEKEND. Claire is a PACT Council Member and Co-Chair of Scotland’s TV Working Group.

Amber joined the team in 2019 after working as an Assistant Coordinator for the FANS Youth Film Festival and at GMAC film as an Operations and Communications Assistant. She started at Synchronicity as an Office Runner before gaining a BECTU Vision Trainee Script Editor placement with Synchronicity. After completing the six-month placement, she now works as our Script Editor.

An experienced and respected international media professional with over 20 years’ senior-level experience in large, politically complex, multi-national organisations, Mark advises on Synchronicity’s commercial affairs, strategy and distribution. Mark is a former Managing Director of BBC Worldwide and IMG.

Prior to joining Synchronicity Films, Adrian enjoyed a career in management consulting with IBM/PwC, working with a wide range of clients from finance, banking and public sectors where he assisted in delivering a broad spectrum of technology-based solutions. Adrian has since focussed his skills on film and TV production and with over thirteen years industry-experience, manages the commercial aspects of the business.

Production Executive

Priya joined Synchronicity Films as Production Executive in 2024, bringing over 15 years of production experience across a range of projects, from microbudget web dramas to blockbuster features. Having started her career by gaining hands-on experience in multiple departments, she advanced to Production Manager before stepping into her current role. Her most recent credits include BODIES (Netflix) and independent feature films HARD TRUTHS and ON FALLING. Priya is a member of the Screenskills Leaders of Tomorrow scheme.

Serena joined the team in 2024 as Executive Assistant to the team and Claire Mundell. Prior to this, she worked at Blazing Griffin as part of their pictures team, working across various productions including film, tv and documentary. She directs and produces short films in her own time, is an alumni of the Director’s UK ‘Inspire’ Scheme and a current member of BAFTA Connect.

He's constantly regaling us with his latest novel discoveries whilst waxing lyrical on which one we should rush to adapt. So far, he's got nothing away however, as we all know, every dog has its day.
