Writer Director Harry Wootliff’s short film Nits has been awarded the Best Short at the London Film Festival after having been selected at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes, and won numerous awards throughout the world. Her second short Trip premiered at the Berlinale, and went on to play at over 30 festivals worldwide.
Elena, 35, and Jake, 26, meet by chance on New Years Eve, arguing for the same taxi. But, instead of going their separate ways after sharing a ride, they start a passionate relationship. Within weeks they are living together, and not long after they talk about starting a family. But, as the seasons pass, reality catches up with them. Falling in love was the easy part. Can they remain in love when life doesn’t give them everything they hoped for?
Produced by Matthieu de Braconier and Tristan Goligher for The Bureau Films (LEAN ON PETE, 45 YEARS), Rachel Dargavel for Crybaby (DISOBEDIENCE, FILTH), and Claire Mundell for Synchronicity Films (THE PARTY’S JUST BEGINNING, THE CRY), ONLY YOU will be released by Curzon in the UK.
