Only You to have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival
Harry Wootliff’s debut feature ONLY YOU will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival
London, August 30th – Harry Wootliff’s film ONLY YOU has been selected at the BFI London Film Festival in competition. The film, starring BAFTA rising stars Laia Costa (VICTORIA, LIFE ITSELF, NEWNESS) and Josh O’Connor (GOD’S OWN COUNTRY, The Crown), will hold its world premiere during the festival.
Tristan Goligher, one of the producers, say “Harry’s shown what a unique and talented film maker she is. Both in the physicality of her direction, and her work with a wonderful cast. We’re all delighted to launch the film at the London Film Festival.”
Writer Director Harry Wootliff’s short film Nits has been awarded the Best Short at the London Film Festival after having been selected at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes, and won numerous awards throughout the world. Her second short Trip premiered at the Berlinale, and went on to play at over 30 festivals worldwide.
Synopsis:
Elena, 35, and Jake, 26, meet by chance on New Years Eve, arguing for the same taxi. But, instead of going their separate ways after sharing a ride, they start a passionate relationship. Within weeks they are living together, and not long after they talk about starting a family. But, as the seasons pass, reality catches up with them. Falling in love was the easy part. Can they remain in love when life doesn’t give them everything they hoped for?
