Claire is a BAFTA and RTS award-winning film and television producer with an extensive slate of shows including an adaptation by Jacquelin Perske of Helen FitzGerald's The Cry for BBC One – currently shooting – starring Jenna Coleman and Ewen Leslie, directed by Glendyn Ivin (Safe Harbour, Seven Types of Ambiguity, Gallipoli); Hanif Kureishi's novella The Body, a tense, high-end international drama series being adapted for television by Robert Murphy (DCI Banks, Vera); and The Man Booker Prize 2016 shortlisted novel, His Bloody Project, by rising Scottish literary star, Graeme Macrae Burnet, currently in development for television.
Claire's credits include the feature, Not Another Happy Ending, written by David Solomons and directed by John McKay, starring Karen Gillan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Who) in her first leading feature role, and produced the BAFTA Scotland-winning thriller, Crying with Laughter, written and directed by Justin Molotnikov. Claire also co-produced the double BIFA-winning, Weekend, written and directed by Andrew Haigh; Harry Wootliff's debut feature, Only You (currently in post-production); and Karen Gillan's feature, The Party's Just Beginning, premiering at Glasgow Film Festival 2018.
Claire has an impressive track record in network television with over 14 years experience at the BBC across multiple genres and has held various senior editorial roles within the organisation. She is a former consultant Executive Producer to BBC Drama, where she developed and produced primetime television shows together with a host of the UK’s top TV writers. Claire is a former Chair of BAFTA Scotland and an alumni of the prestigious film business development programme, Inside Pictures.
